It’s really simple and doesn’t require port forwarding. The approach also work with Virgin Media’s Superhub 3.0. "I finally managed to get RSDash working with BT Smarthub 6. So I guess the VPN must have had an effect on the network settings somehow?"Ī big thanks to Peter for providing this information for the BT/Virgin Media routers I uninstalled NordVPN, restarted the machine and now it works. I’m have Nord VPN on my pc but wasn’t connected to it, although I had used it in-between the days of using RS-Rash and for some reason in my networks list NordLynx was listed as connected. I got a friend to help me setup port forwarding on my router settings however, this didn’t appear to have any effect, even after restarting the router. Thanks to Steve for this one (UDP telemetry from PC to mobile phone had stopped working for him)

VPN software may interfere with UDP telemetry. See the general troubleshooting section here for additional troubleshooting tips Please ensure you have read the "IMPORTANT" notice in the Project CARS 2 - Interface Setup (UDP) section above, regarding telemetry lag. You also need to set your Project CARS 2 UDP Frequency to 4. Try enabling the "Legacy NetCode" option in RS Dash v1.9p (or newer).

Verify that your wireless devices are connected using the same Wifi frequency (2.4Ghz or 5Ghz) as your PC / XBox1 / PS4 if that is also connected wirelessly. Verify that your device is connected to the same Wifi network as your PC / XBox1 / PS4. If you enable this new Legacy NetCode option you should also set your Project CARS 2 UDP Frequency to 4 for the best results.Įnsure that you have followed the steps above to configure the interface correctly. (Update 25th October 2017) - RS Dash v1.9p has a new "Legacy NetCode" option which can help reduce lag on some devices.

If they add this feature it will resolve any telemetry lag issues people in this situation may be facing. Lag issues can sometimes be resolved by slowing down the UDP rate, try using UDP 4 if you are experiencing telemetry lag to see if that helps. Requests have been submitted to Slightly Mad Studios to add additional telemetry options to allow the user to specify the IP address of the device they want to send the telemetry to. If you are experiencing lag issues, please check your router settings and try disabling settings such as "UDP Flood Protection", "DOS (Denial of Service) Protection", "Multicast Flood Protection" or similarly named. This will result in telemetry lag or possibly even no telemetry feed at all (in rare cases).

This means it will work with multiple devices by default, however please be aware that some Android devices and some wifi routers will have trouble processing the telemetry when it is sent this way. IMPORTANT: Project CARS 2 currently (as of Oct 2017) only supports outputting its UDP telemetry as a network broadcast. Once the new protocol has been completed by Slightly Mad Studios, RS Dash will be updated to support it and these instructions will be updated to reflect the new option. Note: RS Dash currently uses the "Project CARS 1" UDP protocol as the newer "Project Cars 2" UDP protocol is incomplete at this point in time (Oct 2017).
